Communist intelligence at work

For someone who experienced the communist reality first hand, the contents of the "Polish independent publications collection, 1976-1990", part of the Hoover Institution Archives, are source of a good laugh. This collection contains a myriad of "independent", "underground" bulletins, periodicals, monographs and pamphlets.

Here is a small sample of the titles. English translations are mine.

SZANIEC: biuletyn informacyjny Ruchu Mlodziezy Niezaleznej.
EARTHWORK: news bulletin of the Independent Youth Movement.

SZKOLA: dwutygodnik uczniowski. Miedzyszkolny Komitet Oporu.
SCHOOL: school students biweekly. Interschool Resistance Committee.

SZTUMSKA SOLIDARNOSC: pismo spoleczno-kulturalne.
SOLIDARITY OF SZTUM: social and cultural magazine.

WALKA KLAS: organ Rewolucyjnej Ligi Robotniczej Polski[ej] sekcji Czwartej  Miedzynarodowki.
CLASS STRUGLE: bulletin of the Revolutionary Workers' Leage of the Polish section of the Fourth International.

WARMINSKI INFORMATOR NIEPODLEGLOSCIOWY: pismo Polskiej Partii Niepodleglosciowej.
WARMIA INDEPENDENCE INFORMER: magazine of the Polish Independence Party.

ZADLO. Organizacja Studentow Monarchistycznych.
STING. Monarchist Student Organization.

Sztum, a small town in east Pomerania is notable for its harsh prison, not for any civic movement.

To fabricate a vast amount of fake publications signed by fake opposition groups was no big deal for the communists. The West continually makes the same mistake over and over again, misinterpreting the communist (and therefore also postcommunist) mentality and the communist overcapacity to lie, forge documents and organize all sorts of intrigues and provocations.

Just try to think about it. After deliberately murdering tens of millions of people and throwing hundreds of millions into misery and slavery, manufacturing fake organizations and fake social movements complete with fake publications is absolutely logical. It is a logical consequence of faking everything on all levels under the communist dictatorship.

Manufacturing archives for the Hoover Institution

The collection of Hoover Institution Archive

Polish independent publications collection, 1976-1990

is likely to consist mostly of documents manufactured under the guidance of the Polish communist dictatorship. The reality in Poland of that period was such that no independent activity was possible. You did not have to do any "underground" activity in order to be thoroughly controlled by the communist secret services. If you were classified as a communist enemy, your life was quietly surveilled and often sabotaged, much like the Die Zersetzung program of the East German Stasi. This was common practice in the communist countries of Eastern Europe.

It is absurd to claim that there were groups of people doing extensive "underground" activity. Well, they did it on orders of the communist authorities, who organized fake opposition to themselves in order to fully control the situation.

If anything, the collection in the Hoover Institution Archive is an excellent example of a communist provocation/simulation.

Faking history

The January 30, 2000, issue of the Hoover Digest contains an excerpt of a text by Z. Brzezinski, former national security adviser to President Carter, entitled "How Solidarity Arose".

This is an example of how a myth engineered by communists themselves is propagated in the West.

Brzezinski is completely wrong on this issue. Is this a result of a complete lack of critical thinking on his part or something much worse?

Provocation National Movement

Ruch Narodowy (National Movement) is a fake movement created recently by political technologists of the Polish neo-Bolshevik junta. It is entirely organized and controlled by the functionaries of the junta. Its activities are simulated. Junta controls the entire fake political spectrum in Poland. New fake movements or parties can be created from scratch and quickly equipped with a basic ideology and sizable number of members.

Obviously it is a provocation.

Functionary Jaroslaw Kaczynski

Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of the opposition Law and Justice Party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwosc), is a man of the junta.

His family was well treated under communism in Poland and enjoyed some privilege. A good example of privilege is casting the Kaczynski twin brothers, Lech and Jaroslaw, in a movie for children "O dwóch takich, co ukradli ksiezyc". This was a highly preferential treatment by the communist authorities, who left nothing to chance and spontaneous, independent choice. The tales of Kaczynski's family opposition to communism were developed much later.

If Lech or Jaroslaw Kaczynski were posing even the smallest threat to communists, they would have no chance to perform even the smallest public roles, neither before 1989, nor after 1989. Communists had an absolute, total control over the entire process of the so-called transition and over the entire "democratic opposition". Communists themselves created the simulation of a movement opposing communism and placed their people in all public roles.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski's behavior in the entire period after 1989 leaves no doubt regarding his role. He was cast in his role by the junta.

Faking it all

The local elections held in Poland last Sunday, 16 November 2014, were rigged of course. There are many ways to skin a cat and there are many ways to fake elections. And just as "elections" held during communism were a farce, similarly farcical were all "elections" in 1989 and in later years.

It is absolutely logical that fake elections were met with fake protests held by fake political organizations. Their names, as they appeared in a leading junta daily, are shown in the picture below.

Polish parliament as element of organized crime

The existence of the Polish parliament Sejm during the communist dictatorship 1945-1989 was of course a communist provocation, because this was an entirely artificial body without any decision making power. More precisely, the parliament was introducing laws that were already drafted somewhere outside. In a communist concentration camp Sejm served a purely decorative function. Its job was simply to announce decisions that already have been made by the communist dictatorship.

The functioning of such "parliament" may be compared to the activity of an organized crime of the mafia type, where a bank is used for money laundering.

The Polish parliament today, i.e. the institution called Sejm in 1989-2014, continues this criminal activity. No essential changes occurred in its activities. Old decorations have been replaced by new decorations, but the modus operandi remained in place. Traditional criminal organizations can also change areas of their activities, names of their fake businesses, and their employees. However this is only a change of some tools, while keeping the organization and its methods of operation intact.

Fake defector Kuklinski

The time has come to say that colonel Kuklinski, who secretly delivered to the CIA the military plans of the Warsaw Pact in case of war with the NATO countries, before his defection in 1980, has not revealed any big secrets at all. Theoretically the documents he handed over were of an immense importance. Theoretically. Practically they were of little value in 1980. The really important things occurred in a different domain.

Most likely he was a provocateur specially prepared for this occasion by the communists, i.e. a fake defector. The communists simply gave CIA documents that had lost their practical significance.

Kuklinski apparently has not delivered information on key aspects of the functioning of the communist block countries. One such key issue is the manufacturing of the so-called "democratic opposition" movements in Poland, such as the Workers Defence Committee (KOR), the trade union Solidarity and related organizations, by the communist internal intelligence service. Another strategic issue was the set of hidden principles of organization of the entire communist state.

Communists gave CIA documents to let the American intelligence community and the American administration have a sense of accomplishment. However the real action was occurring elsewhere.

Comrade Hannan

The British deputy to the European Parliament from the Conservative Party Daniel Hannan published an article in his blog on December 24, 2013, comparing Oliver Cromwell to Jozef Stalin. The blog is published in the internet portal of the daily the Telegraph. The starting point was the comparison of Cromwell to Stalin made by V. Putin.

In the article the picture of a young Stalin is put side-by-side with a portrait of Cromwell.

The suggestion is obvious.

Other articles in Hannan's blog contain more falsehoods.

Faking it in Poland and elsewhere in the Post-Soviet World

The view expressed by Martin Wolf in the Financial Times in his article on 5 November 2003, concerning politics in the post-Soviet world, that the

aim is not only to establish a monopoly of power but also to monopolise the competition for it
is actually far too conservative. Actually they control the entire public sphere and the entire state apparatus, not just the technology of the electoral process and its participants. In retrospect, this is a logical consequence of two full generations, since 1945, of communist terror in Poland and other countries of Eastern Europe.

Wolf meant mostly Russia and Ukraine. However, Poland also is tightly controlled today by the same people as before 1989. The so-called "democratic opposition to communism" was a political project run by the communists themselves. Later they stopped calling themselves communists and created artificial parties with artificially created programs and artificially appointed leaders. The entire Solidarity project was the work of the communist intelligence. After decades of Marxism and Leninism, creating fake political parties and filling them up with members of the junta was a piece of cake. After all, the entire communist public life was fake.

So now we have also major western media and various western authorities engaging in the falsification of reality in a major way. Quite an interesting period in the history of Europe. Millions of people deceiving themselves and deceiving others.

Simulation of an emergency

This is a frequently used form of public narrative control. It is based on a simulation of an accident, explosion, fire, or some other extraordinary situation. Subsequently, media attention is devoted to the simulation. In the case of the "news" channels Polsat News, TVN24, and TVP Info it may result in devoting 100 per cent of the broadcast time to the simulation.

The aim of the simulated narrative is of course to replace the realistic narrative. The simulated narrative may be organized to contain elements present also in the natural narrative, which for some reason should be jammed or entirely hidden. The key narrative elements consist of the personal characteristics of persons,
places, actions, i.e. everything that determines the uniqueness of the story.

Participation of emergency services in crisis situations implies increased traffic within the emergency communication system. This enables inconspicuous transmission of information about a real crisis situation, unrelated to the simulated one and hidden from the outside world. Thus communication in a simulated emergency may serve the function of an encryption channel for the hidden real emergency.

This morning's situation in Poland fulfills the criteria of a simulated emergency.

Fake everything

The Polish minister of agriculture called some of the apple producers "losers" couple of days ago. He used the plural of the noun "frajerzy" in Polish. No sane politician would consciously expose himself to obvious angry reactions in such a stupid way. What motivated the minister to make a political fool/idiot of himself?

The official explanation is an emotional mistake or minister having a bad day. Something like that.

In reality this was a provocation consciously prepared and executed. Another act in the completely fake politics in Poland. The public narrative in Poland is devoid of spontaneity.

Do you want spies with that borscht?

The news of arrest of two men in Poland who allegedly spied for a foreign country seem to be fake in more ways than one.

Keep in mind that essentially nothing constrains falsification of the public narrative in Poland.

Faking it in Poland

It was reported in the Polish media that on Monday night, October 6 2014, at 8:55 pm local time an explosion occurred in the Wesoła coal mine in Mysłowice in southern Poland.

The key message went like this: "An ignition and probably a methane explosion occurred at the depth of 665 meters, on the wall 560". Thirty seven miners were said to have been present in the danger zone at the time of accident.

However, a conscious analysis of the media reports strongly suggests that the accident reports are fake.

Faking it in Ukraine

Last Sunday morning, October 5 2014, around 10 am, a female Polish reporter working for the Ukrainian espreso.tv was interviewed by two hosts, male and female, on the morning show of the Polsat News tv station. The subject of the conversation was reporter's experience in the "war zone" in eastern Ukraine.

The reporter's story was, like many other tales from Ukraine, completely fake. She was supposed to have been wounded in an artillery fire. Unfortunately the story was not true.

On Monday, October 6 2014, the new secretary general of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg was on an official visit to Warsaw. His speech broadcast live on tv indicated that the NATO command has been duped. In other words, the simulation of a conflict in eastern Ukraine seems to have worked. Mr. Stoltenberg believes there is a real conflict there.

Is there anyone with a brain in the NATO headquarters?

Of course the seeds of this cognitive disaster have been planted long time ago.

Deception

An article in the Internet edition of the Polish daily with the largest circulation sounds an alarm bell that the current Russian leader is arming Russia: 243 nuclear warheads are said to have been deployed near Russia's western border! The source of this news is apparently some "Norwegian organization".

The article is accompanied by a picture of a huge missile during some military parade.

Is this announcement believable? It is actually in the interest of the Russian leadership to scare the West. That's the best way to manipulate the political decisions of western democracies. Russia does not have to deploy actual warheads. It suffices to deploy empty warheads or something similar that someone in the West will "discover" with or without a little help from the Russian side.

Russia's real strength is entirely elsewhere. Russia's strength is based on the use of human intelligence and deception. The production of a fake narrative is far less expensive and much more useful in the long run than production and maintenance of nuclear arms.

Provocation Student Solidarity Committee

Some members of this group made quite significant political careers.

US senators fulfil expectations of MKW (Moscow-Kiev-Warsaw) functionaries

American Senators Robert Menendez and John McCain do exactly what is expected of them by the functionaries of Moscow, Kiev and Warsaw: they want US to provide Kiev with weapons and money.

Mike Rogers, chief of the Intelligence Committee in the House of Representatives, expressed a similar view.

This is not the first time when McCain is acting strangely.

Provocation Freedom and Peace

The "independent" movement Freedom and Peace (Wolność i Pokój), formally established in Poland in 1985, allegedly for the purpose of propagating ideas of peace and freedom, was in fact entirely organized and controlled by the communist authorities. Several members of post-1990 governments in Poland were former members of Freedom and Peace.

Political simulations in Poland

Media in Poland serve an artificially fabricated menu of fake political projects. Many people watching this farce daily on their tv screens are conditioned to think that they are witnesses to the unfolding drama of democracy. Instead, they are spectators of a poorly written comedy, while the real action occurs away from the scene.

A perfect example of a simulation is the reorganization of the military intelligence and counterintelligence in 2006. Changes were simulated and a conflict related to these fake changes was also simulated. Fake story through and through.

Definition of Bad Choice

A new definition of what constitutes an incredibly bad choice.

The American Embassy in Warsaw informed in a statement released on June 30, 2014 that Jan Karski Freedom Award was given to KOR (Komitet Obrony Robotników, Workers Defense Committee).

"As the first widely recognized underground workers’ rights organization in Poland, KOR paved the way for Solidarity, and for the democratic changes that would later sweep all of Central and Eastern Europe."
There are two possibilities.

1. The US Ambassador knows what he is doing.

2. The US Ambassador does not understand what he is doing.

Which is worse?

The Ukrainian Simulation: cui bono?

Who benefits from the Ukrainian simulation of a conflict?

1. The Polish junta, who use it to refresh their completely fake image in the eyes of the EU, NATO, etc. In other words the functionaries in Warsaw wanted to recharge their fakeness.

2. The Ukrainian junta, who want to stir emotions and fears of the Western European folk in order to use it later as a bargaining trick against the EU. "Look, we are not Russians, we want democracy" they will most predictably say. Unfortunately, such declarations are not true.

3. The Russian junta, who got Crimea for playing their part in the script and upheld the image of being tough and unpredictable.

Who are the losers of this simulation?

Western Europe, United States, Canada, and the rest of the democratic world. They were sold a lousy soft remake of the original Bolshevik 1917 script and believed they watched a real expression of the "people's" will.

The Simulation in Ukraine

Much noise was made about alleged Russian attempts to prevent Ukraine from signing an association agreement with the European Union. The story line went like this: Putin wants to keep Ukraine within the Russian sphere of influence and offers fifteen billion US dollars if the Ukraine joins the economic pact with Russia and several other countries. Yanukovych did not sign the EU association agreement. Then "pro-European" demonstrations began on the central square in Kiev in the second half of November 2013.

Actually the best way to control the European Union is to become a member and manipulate it from within. Russians are not stupid. They can keep Crimea and may have their Ukrainian friends inside the EU at some future date, just like they have their Polish friends inside the EU.

We are witnessing the process of manufacturing a fake narrative in Ukraine. The problem in Ukraine is of a cognitive nature, not a military one.The events during the last eight or nine months are not the result of struggle between the pro-European and pro-Russian options, as proclaimed by various opinion makers.

It is a virtual conflict, not a real one. The ruling circles in Russia, Poland and elsewhere in the former communist block know that the key to successful manipulation is the imposition of a fake narrative. If it is accepted by those who are the deception target, it will be the basis for all subsequent actions with almost no risk of detection.

Yes, there are some real events, like the shooting down of the Malaysian passenger jet on 17 July 2014. This is collateral damage that is used to support the illusion of a real conflict. The downing of the MH17 was most likely carefully planned. The recordings of "separatists" commanders talking to each other, allegedly "intercepted" by the Ukrainian intelligence, were most likely fake. More precisely, the voices were apparently authentic ones but the dialogues were most likely scripted, likely recorded after the event.

One of the basic cognitive problems is to recognize when the two parties which are seemingly engaged in a strong disagreement, are actually faking the conflict and are cooperating against the third party instead. In other words, the aim of the action is to fool the third party for a later gain, not to fight each other.

The West has lost touch with reality in Eastern Europe long time ago. They look, but they do not see.

Scripted and fabricated

Another instance of classic forgery. New "secret" recordings were just made available by the weekly Wprost. They were supposedly made in August 2011. In fact, the most likely date of these latest recordings is the last week, some time after 29 June 2014.

And again, they were not secret, but thoroughly scripted and fabricated.

Thursday, July 3, 2014

The Triumph of Provocation

On the subject of phony "secret" tapes of Polish government officials. The "affair" should be made into a case study in journalism schools. Bold claims, many days of intense hammering of fabricated falsehoods into tv viewers' heads.

A fabricated Nothing is made into an "affair". An exercise in stirring up emotions of mostly unsuspecting public. A phony, scripted debate in the Sejm, the parliament. The entire political process and its participants completely fake. Another tv miniseries fabricated by the Channel Junta24.

People will believe everything, no matter how poorly scripted the provocation, the cognitive processes in their brains being remotely controlled by the video stream arriving to their tv sets.

Note:
The Triumph of Provocation is also the title of the book by Józef Mackiewicz (1902-1985), a writer and political commentator, witness at the site of mass graves in Katyń, where the Soviet Union committed genocide of Polish officers during WWII. He wrote The Katyn Wood Murders (1951), the first book about that crime.

Channel Junta24

Most likely, the supposedly secret recordings of government officials revealed by the Polish weekly Wprost two weeks ago were not secret at all. They were probably recorded with the full approval of the participants of the conversations. The dialogues were most likely scripted, in the same way as radio dramas are scripted and read by actors. In other words, the "affair" is fully scripted and staged.

Most likely, recordings were made in the last few weeks, not one year ago or one-and-a-half year ago, as declared by the media.

Sunday, June 29, 2014

Deception. Modus operandi

Two weeks ago the Polish weekly Wprost published transcripts of some conversations between government ministers. These conversations have supposedly occurred in restaurants in Warsaw.

Among those recorded were

minister of the interior
minister of foreign affairs
minister of finance
head of the central bank

and some other high level apparatchiks. The recordings themselves were made available on the weekly's web site.

Soon after the publication the prosecutor's office started proceedings in order to determine who ordered and who carried out these recordings and what their aim was. The prosecutors, assisted by agents of the internal security agency, visited the Wprost offices. TV cameras were there too and chaotic scenes from the weekly offices were broadcast on national tv. Endless debates about various aspects of the aforementioned recordings, their publication and subsequent actions were held on several tv and radio channels. Commentators seemingly looked at all possible aspects of the "scandal", both internal and international.

However, what no one dared to say publicly, was the possibility that the entire affair was cooked up by the junta themselves who scripted it and did the recording.

Indeed, it is most likely that the whole spectacle of the affair is part of a wider deception scheme. Surely, you need staff and actors and a script. But that's junta's modus operandi: falsify everything.

Psychological Torture in Concentration Camp Poland

LS Borkowski

Release 11,  Poland, 26 May 2014

Psychological Torture in Concentration Camp Poland. The Falsist Dictatorship

Judith L. Herman in her book Trauma and Recovery (1992) wrote:

A single traumatic event can occur almost anywhere. Prolonged, repeated trauma, by contrast, occurs only in circumstances of captivity. [...] repeated trauma occurs only when the victim is a prisoner, unable to flee, and under the control of the perpetrator. Such conditions obviously exist in prisons, concentration camps, and slave labor camps.

and

The methods of establishing control over another person are based upon the systematic, repetitive infliction of psychological trauma. They are the organized techniques of disempowerment and disconnection. Methods of psychological control are designed to instill terror and helplessness and to destroy the victim's sense of self in relation to others.

Angela Ebert and Murray J. Dyck wrote in their article (The experience of mental death: The core feature of complex posttraumatic stress disorder, Clinical Psychology Review 24 (2004) 617-635),

The experience of a prolonged totalitarian control in conjuction with organized violence often leads to mental death, which is characterized by loss of core beliefs and values, distrust, and alienation form others, shame and guilt, and a sense of being permanently damaged. Mental death is a primary feature of a distinct posttrauma syndrome, complex posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

and

Mental death occurs in the context of totalitarian control, which is characterized by entrapment and wanton harm-doing by people to people. Although there are many different forms of totalitarian control and each form is associated with mental death (...), totalitarian control is most fully and most horrifically exemplified by the experience of torture

Simulated reality in Poland

16 April 2014
TVP Info tv channel, 9:43 AM CET

Piotr Niemczyk, former deputy chief of the Polish intelligence agency UOP (Urząd Ochrony Państwa, Polish governmental agency responsible for state security in the 1990s) said

The dominant view in Poland today is that freedom of speech is more valuable than the sense of security.
In Polish: Dziś w Polsce panuje przekonanie, że wolność słowa jest większą wartością niż poczucie bezpieczeństwa.

This is a completely empty slogan, typical of a simulated reality, i.e. a fake public life in Poland.

There is no freedom of speech in Poland. The functionaries of the junta in Poland carefully watch what they say, and more importantly, what you say. The pluralism is fully artificial. You can say almost anything, provided

(1) you belong to the junta,
(2) you have got their licence to say some things, and
(3) your speech remains within bounds of that license.

Translated into plain language this means junta functionaries do not represent themselves. They represent junta and they say whatever junta expects of them.

Junta's freedom of speech is the freedom of speech of the guards of the concentration camp.

Tragedy or comedy?

The traditional view of the public sphere, including the political activity, is based on some assumptions. They are often not stated explicitly. They are often silently assumed to hold. The analysis of all things political is certainly deeply influenced by them.

One set of frequently used assumptions is borrowed from the political culture of mature democracies, e.g. the British and the American one. Unfortunately, the application of the Anglo-Saxon model and other, mostly western European, models is quite limited in interpreting political action in other countries, even if they are also located in Europe, such as the formerly communist countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In this part of the world the same words may have very different meanings. There are many reasons for this, of which the devastating wars of the last century and the even more devastating reign of communist terror are the most important ones.

Errors in assessing the political situation in Central and Eastern Europe have been made long time ago. Some falsified the reality consciously and willingly, others have done it because they wanted to see something which was not there. There are probably also other reasons for this deception.

The communist and post-communist regimes have put a lot of effort into creating virtual reality and fooling perception. The line separating the tragedy from comedy can be quite thin or more subtle than many people are aware of. The communists have frequently presented tragedy as comedy and vice versa, comedy was sold as tragedy. The West has been unprepared perceptually for dealing with these tricks.

Chief of military counterintelligence suddenly dismissed in September 2013

On 17 September 2013, at 11:55 PM, I sent an email to the Polish president Bronisław Komorowski. The the subject line read "The attack on Polish family" (Atak na polską rodzinę). I wrote that in early 2012 a simultaneous attack has been carried out against me at the university where I work, against my wife at the artistic school where she is employed, and against my daughter at the elementary school which she attended at the time. The methods of the attack were typical of the communist secret services. The attacks were very carefully prepared, coordinated and timed.

I stated in the letter that the operation against my family has been carried out for years. I also indicated that an intelligence service of a foreign country has possibly been involved.

On 20 September 2013 the chief of the military counterintelligence in Poland was dismissed by the prime minister. No credible explanation for this decision has been presented. Rumours about the supposed reasons for the dismissal were spread in the media. The parliament did not investigate the matter.

Murder in Concentration Camp Poland

Release 10, 30 March 2014

Hannah Arendt wrote that concentration camp is a place where everything is possible.

Contemporary Poland is exactly this kind of place. Here everything is possible. The camp extended over the entire territory of Poland uninterruptedly since the Second World War. At a certain point the transition from the communist camp to a democratic state was simulated. However this was only a transformation of one state of exception into another, albeit a more advanced one. The entire public narrative continues to be completely falsified and the entire public life remains under the meticulous control of the junta functionaries.

This is the camp of social death, because the killing of the prisoner involves the annihilation and hijacking of the entire social sphere of his existence, his career, identity, social image, documentary evidence. Predictably, the killing is preceded by stripping the target of dignity.

Narrative in concentration camp Poland. Permanent cognitive deficit

According to the conventional view every action of some political entity is meant to serve some purpose. It is tacitly assumed that a political actor does A to achieve the goal of B.

However the actions of the local junta in Poland indicate that their preferred method is very often not centered on doing A in order to reach B. The real goal is often to excite strong emotions about some contentious issue, artificially creating such an issue if necessary, and then trying to maximize the narrative gain using the emotional manipulation as the main tool. In other words, B is not the goal of the action. While B is stated officially as the goal of the action, the real profit comes from arresting peoples' attention. Choices made by the population subjected to strong emotional pressure are hard to reverse. First comes the pressure for an emotional commitment, then the manipulation is carried out, not the other way round.

By forcefeeding the public with emotional stir junta creates an impression of a vigorous public debate. A long, seemingly endless emotional stalemate is the junta's goal. Cognitive resources of the population are thus wasted on relatively unimportant things, while key areas of the camp's functioning remain beyond the cognitive horizon.

The absolute, total control of the narrative in all its aspects, including the full control of the characters participating in the narrative, is the foundation upon which the entire BTL (below-the-line) dictatorship stands. In the concentration camp paradigm, the only characters allowed to take part in the narrative are the camp's rulers and guards. The prisoners are to remain nameless. They might appear briefly in some episodes but junta does everything to hijack their personal narratives and falsify them to suit the needs of the camp.

Concentration camp Poland

The state currently named "Poland" is organized according to the logic of a concentration camp. Poland was a concentration camp continuously since the Second World War. The public life is fully controlled by the camp guards. The prisoners mostly do not comprehend the gravity of their situation. They usually avoid thinking about it.

The genocide committed by the communists after WWII was transformed in mid-1950s into a new form, in which selected human beings are murdered as social creatures. The man or woman murdered as a social being ceases to function as a participant of any community. Destroyed and isolated, the indivual is reduced to a biological object.

Humanity does not learn from past mistakes and tragedies, often preferring to remain blind.

The Constitution Demo

The constitution of the so-called Republic of Poland proclaimed in 1997 is not a full product. It is merely a demo version with a very limited functionality. It was put forth not for the purpose of establishing a legal foundation, but only to make an impression that such foundation was established. It is very obvious, beyond any doubt, that the sovereign on the territory of the so-called Poland is junta. The real rules of the junta (not to be confused with the law) remain carefully hidden.

Much ado about nothing

A lot of strange and sometimes stupid things were said in the last couple of months about Yanukovych's and Putin's intentions regarding Ukraine and its relations with the European Union and Russia.

I do not claim to know the intentions of the Russian leadership. However, I would like to point out that there is at least one aspect of the action in Ukraine over the last three and a half months that makes a lot of sense. It is the protection of the Russian intelligence assets in Poland and elsewhere.

The angry anti-Russian rhetoric that was imposed on the media in Poland is completely artificial. It was imposed by the very same people who earlier were saying something completely different. This sudden outburst of hysteria has no basis in reality. It is a spectacle played jointly by the Russians, Ukrainians and the Polish junta. It is likely that the aim of this theatrical anti-Russian hysteria is to turn attention away from the anti-American stance of the Polish junta and its likely collaboration with the Russian intelligence.

And what do you think, comrade Angela?

Simulated situations, real consequences

The revolt that began in Kiev, Ukraine, on November 20, 2013, was a simulated one. The subsequent conflict in the Crimea that emerged in the last couple of weeks was also a simulation. Both situations were presented to the outside world as real.

However, as the American sociologist William Isaac Thomas wrote in 1928,

It is not important whether or not the interpretation is correct -- if men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences.

Added on March 12, 2014

Real consequences caused by false interpretations of faked situations do not make these situations any more real.

Wrong advice from the Washington Post

Everything goes according to plan in the Ukrainian crisis. The provocations finally worked. Emotional threshold was reached last week.

On March 2, 2014, the Washington Post published an opinion piece "Spell out the consequences for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine" by the Editorial Board, trying to push the US president Obama to engange in a quick and strong action against Russia:

The United States now faces a naked act of armed aggression in the center of Europe by a Russian regime that is signaling its intent to steamroller this U.S. president and his allies. Mr. Obama must demonstrate that can’t be done.[...]
Many in the West did not believe Mr. Putin would dare attempt a military intervention in Ukraine because of the steep potential consequences. That the Russian ruler plunged ahead shows that he doubts Western leaders will respond forcefully. If he does not quickly retreat, the United States must prove him wrong.

Why this sudden outburst of hysteria? The Washington Post is an unreliable source of political advice with respect to Russia and many other countries. In addition to the entire argument also the geography is wrong: "armed aggression in the center of Europe". No, it is a periphery of Europe.

The best way to manipulate the other political side is to get your opponent strongly engaged without him having a clue what is really going on.

Stay calm and observe from the sidelines.

BTL dictatorship

This text is part of a letter dated 6 June 2013. The last two paragraphs were already posted earlier in this blog.

6 June 2013

[...]
The communist totalitarian state has transformed itself. The perestroika was hugely successful. The power remained in the same hands. New lies and new tricks were invented. You do not have to bring out the tanks onto the streets in order to maintain the grip on power. After years of brutal murders, expulsion, repression and intimidation, you only need to keep an eye on those few individuals who become outspoken and dare to criticize the current regime. These days you do not have to shoot them in the back of the head somewhere in the pine forest in the wee hours of the morning. [...]

These days careers of select individuals in Poland are killed at will, one by one, on fabricated, absurd charges. The communists knew perfectly well that you can't go on forever killing people physically. They gradually changed their tactics. Instead of killing the body they focused on killing the mind and the soul. The advanced knowledge of the social sciences was employed for the sole purpose of murdering the soul and murdering the social dimension of a person. Psychology became operational psychology. The key elements to the successful murder of the social being are the isolation of the victim and the participation of as many perpetrators as possible. This is the true meaning of Solidarity in Poland. It is the solidarity of the oppressors against an individual. All these methods inherited by the current Polish junta are widely used in Poland today. Psychological terror against any bright and brave individual standing up for dignity and honor is the main tool of the regime.

We are faced with a new type of dictatorship. We have multi-party elections in Poland, we have the parliament, different newspapers and tv channels, facebooks and twitters, and often the same tv series as people watch all over the world. However the ugly minds adapted to all that and are taking full advantage of the technological progress. They are running the BTL dictatorship, i.e. dictatorship "below-the-line". The chain of command is hidden from view. The tyranny relies on many seemingly independent acts committed by a large number of perpetrators in different institutions. It is the solidarity of the junta against the rest of us. The perpetrators of the junta are rewarded with money, prizes, careers, and social status.

The so-called velvet revolution of the 1989-90 was a fraud. This was merely a transformation of the brutal regime into a new form. A form that was better adapted to a new reality. This new form of dictatorship imitates the language of mature democracies. It imitates their rhetoric. It imitates some democratic processes. But it is no more than an exercise in deception. Another act in the same theatrical play, where public rituals are supposed to trick people into believing that beneath the rituals there is a genuine democratic content. However beneath a thin veil of democratic rituals is the same stalinist iron fist. Wladyslaw Gomulka, the First Secretary of the communist party declared in his Moscow speech on 18 June 1945, "We will never relinquish the power that we once won" ("Raz zdobytej władzy nie oddamy nigdy"). And it is this quote that perfectly describes the post-1990 Poland. Gomulka's followers kept his promise. The much-publicized Lech Walesa's line "We, the People", opening his speech to the American Congress in 1991 was a lie. He should have said "We, the Junta".

The Polish communist junta seemed to give up power in a negotiated settlement with the representatives of the so-called democratic opposition in 1989. Much has been written about the apparent rise of the civil society in the communist countries and how it brought about the regime change. The course of events over the next twenty four years proved beyond any doubt that the 1989 settlement was merely a trick enabling the communists and their allies to remain in control and to continue occupying all positions of power. The "democratic opposition" was neither opposition nor was it democratic. It was a device created by the communist dictatorship in order to legitimize the departure from the dull, old-style regime and mask the transition to a new, more advanced form of tyranny.

Disinform and Punish. Denial of Information Replaces Barbed Wire in Concentration Camp Poland

Disinform and Punish. Denial of Information Replaces Barbed Wire in Concentration Camp Poland

Denial of information and collective action against an individual and his or her family are the basic tools of the organized crime ruling in Poland. It is an organizing principle of this peculiar form of state. Proper information is delivered only to members of the organization. Organization conducts collective attacks against everyone selected for social death.

Information is withheld from those targeted by the junta. The simplest act of information delivery is transformed into a complicated, error-loaded affair. What should be a simple act of transferring a quantum of knowledge is deliberately made into a fuzzy, convoluted operation, loaded with deliberate mistakes and ambiguities. Information is rarely given in a simple, unequivocal manner. Additional, superfluous steps are inserted between the information source and the person who needs the information to function normally. A labyrinth instead of precise and direct point-to-point communication. This creates space for plethora of excuses when someone is trying to find out why information did not reach the destination or why it was distorted.

Public announcements are made in a characteristically vague, indeterminate manner. Often these announcements are used to further confound and increase the uncertainty as to what is true and what is false. Documents are either made inaccessible or difficult to obtain. And when a document is obtained, its authenticity is sometimes in doubt. In many cases the process of falsification of documents can be arbitrarily extended.

Participation in the information flow is a necessary condition for the human being to function as a member of any community. Denial of information makes people vulnerable to manipulation and provocation. The aim is to make targets feel helpless, unable to plan and execute their own actions, unable to control their own lives.

Denial of information is essentially an act of violence against the mind and the soul.

Organizatoin makes the process of obtaining information very costly. If the targeted person is trying to establish facts or gain access to documents, junta uses this as an opportunity for further attacks and provocations. The aim is of course to stop the target from pursuing information, to make her fearful of another round of mental beating when trying to exercise basic rights. Punishment for pursuing information becomes the form of psychological torture.

Sensory deprivation, denial of information or information falsification were often used in communist prisons. Denial of information today is a straightforward extension of that prison scheme. The aim is to maximally extend the grey zone of uncertainty. This means various stories can be twisted and altered ad infinitum, according to the current vector of the "revolutionary dynamics", borrowing the phrase from Stanisław Mackiewicz's book about Bolshevik Russia. A logical and intended consequence of information hiding and misrepresentation is the falsification of juridical processes.

The prison paradigm has evolved and is better masked today. However the concept of the prison guards and the prisoner remains at the basis of the state ruled by the junta. The watcher and the watched. The prison encompasses now the entire territory of the country. There are also simple ways to extend control beyond country borders. The target of the junta is meticulously surveyed and controlled. Junta gathers extremely detailed information about him or her.

Information deprivation is part of a bigger scheme of delivering social death to those who represent human values and fundamental rights. This is how postcommunist Poland works. The thugs and the slaves.

When dealing with the disinformation policy of the junta it is logical to assume that all public pronouncements are lies unless proven otherwise.

Comrade chancellor

Comrade Angela Merkel said in the German parliament that in Ukraine "they fight for the same values that guide the European Union". Ha! FDJ is alive and well.

The Kiev comedy

Originally published 22 January 2014
The aim of the Kiev and Moscow regimes is to provoke emotional response from western governments and from citizens of western democracies. If an emotional threshold is reached, the real manipulation may begin. The dynamics of this manipulation is fairly easily predictable. While details cannot be specified in advance, the general direction is pretty obvious.

The supporting cast in Warsaw does whatever it can, of course. Moscow, Kiev, and Warsaw together dupe the West in this game.

A similar trick worked quite well in the Solidarity project. The Solidarity trade union was an entirely artificial creation of the communist political technologists. The West was duped into believing that it was a genuine expression of people's will. Yes, people in Poland wanted to get out of communism but they had no chance to be anywhere near the leadership positions in the so-called "democratic opposition".

It is a wonderfully simple mechanism. Its main drawback is the necessary participation of a large number of actors to create an impression that it is not a spectacle but the real thing. Keep in mind, however, that the communist regimes and postcommunist juntas of Eastern Europe have social armies of millions of junta members at their disposal. What is harder to do in the West, is banally simple in Eastern Europe.

The Solidarity trade union march through the streets of Warsaw in September 2013 was just such a fake demonstration. There were roughly hundred thousand participants brought over to Warsaw from various parts of the country. There were thousands of flags and plenty of noise. However a careful observer could easily notice the obvious signs of deception.

The comedy in Kiev is nothing but deception.

Komsomolets

Here are the main Mikhail Khodorkovsky's roles so far.

  • Komsomol member
  • capitalist, billionaire, oligarch
  • politician
  • victim of the Putin's revenge

In order to be a Komsomol member he had to speak and act against the basic ideas and values of the western civilization.

The top level officials of the Russian secret police had to approve his rise to riches, his becoming a billionaire and the taking over of Yukos, the large oil and gas company. Only those most trusted by the Russian secret services had any chance to lead such a company in such a strategically important industry, in a country obsessed with secrecy and deception.

Which of the characters played by Khodorkovsky is closest to the real thing?

A hint comes from Nechaev's Catechism of a Revolutionist (1869):

14. Aiming at implacable revolution, the revolutionist may and frequently must live within society while pretending to be completely different from what he really is, for he must penetrate everywhere, into all the higher and middle-level social formations, into the merchant's commercial establishment, into the church, the gentry estate, and the world of the bureaucrat and military, into literature, and also into the Third Section and even the Winter Palace of the tsar.
